Field Trip Information for
Teachers:
***Pre-Registration is
required. This trip is filled on a first-come-first-serve basis***
Open to 3rd grade students in Hillsborough County, FL
Location: Florida State Fairgrounds, Tampa, FL
Times: 10:20 a.m.- 12:20 p.m.
Dates: October 22-31, 2008 & April 14-30,
2009
Cost: $2.00 per student
Your School will be assigned
to one of the four different tours that will have a balance of plant and
animal science.

To register, please fill
out the registration form (found on the Ag-Venture Home Page or
by clicking on the "Registration" link) for your school. List all 3rd
grade teachers
participating and their student numbers. Fax, mail or register
on-line from August 11th
to September 12th,
2008. The
registration form must be completed in its entirety. Any
information left out will void your registration. This information
is needed for our Federal Affirmative Action Report.

Registrations will be
accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of
tours are available.

You will be immediately
notified that your request for field trip dates has been received.
**PLEASE NOTE: You are not guaranteed to be scheduled for the
dates that you have selected when you complete and submit your
registration form.
Final Trip Confirmations will be available and sent to all schools
in September after the registration closing date.
If your school
has been scheduled, you will receive detailed trip information
including an invoice, track assignments, and other pertinent
information for your trip including arrival times and maps.

If your school does NOT
received this information at least one week prior to scheduled field
trip, please have your Assistant Principal contact the Hillsborough
County 4-H office at (813) 744-5519 ext 118.

All teachers will also
receive worksheets and activities on Florida Agriculture and
commodities to take back and use in the classroom following the
field trip.

FULL PAYMENT WILL BE
DUE UPON ARRIVAL.

Students will
participate in hands-on learning activities in five different
stations between 10:20 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.

Students need to bring a packed
lunch. Your school will have an assigned area to place the
student lunches when you arrive at the fairgrounds.

Please let us know in advance of
any special needs or accommodations that should be considered.
Please also inform us if there are any changes to your student
registration numbers.
